August Challenges - Week #3 - Gayatri Murali

Hey hello everyone! Welcome back to week #3 of the challenges. I hope you are having a blast playing along and without further ado let's jump right into the challenge..

This week's challenge is hosted and sponsored by a very stylish and stunning cardmaker

Gayatri Murali
( her work screams ishSTYLE!! and I love it!! )

Hello and welcome! This is Gayatri Murali from Handmade by G3. I was thrilled when Deepti asked me to host a challenge on her blog celebrating her Birthday this month. What a great idea? I love her work and so I said a big YES! Here I am hosting a challenge for you.
Watercolouring is hot among cardmakers at the moment.  The best part of this technique is anybody can give it go. You don’t have to be an artist to do watercolouring on cards. You can do backgrounds using watercolour, watercolour an image or both… And there are stamps set specifically designed for this technique as well making it easy for anybody to do this technique. So I decided to challenge you with a watercolour challenge using some inspirational photos from Pinterest.

Here is the photo for the watercolour inspirational challenge.

So pick one photo or use all the photos as your inspiration to make a card. I have a card I made for the challenge which you can use as an inspiration as well. Here it is.

For this challenge I used Watercoloured Anemones from Wplus9 on my card. This stamp set is specially designed to give you the watercolour look. I simply used three shades of purple inks for the flowers and green inks for the leaves. Then stamped the sentiment from Strictly Sentiment 5 also from Wplus9 using black ink. Embellished with purple sequins called Amethyst and Purple Pansy from Pretty Pink Posh and green twine from Twinery.

No challenge is complete without a prize right? Yes! I have this awesome prize pack filled with stamps, inks, Washi tape, dies, markers and embellishments for one lucky winner.

Now it is your turn to play the challenge. I cannot wait to see your take on the challenge.
Have fun!

Fantastic challenge and you know what! I'm drooling over the prize! Let's see! who is lucky!!!! (I'm not - obviously.. ;) haha) Thank you so much dear Gayatri. We are so happy to have you.. <3
